Some will argue that karma doesn’t owe Brady a thing. I mean, look at his life. He is married to one of the World’s biggest Super Models. He is in the conversation of Greatest QB of all-time. I recently learned from former Patriots offensive lineman Ross Tucker that he is unbeatable at chugging beer. And did I mention the dimple?
But in the world of football, Brady is due. Anyone remember the David Tyree catch? Or how about Super Bowl XLVI, when the Patriots were up 17-9 in the 3rd quarter only to lose by another series of unlucky plays by the lucky Eli Manning.
So sitting there watching on Sunday, after Kearse made that seemingly impossible catch it seemed like it was all happing again. Tyree part 2. I don’t think that there was a single person in that entire stadium that didn’t think the game was over after that catch. It seemed inevitable. But then it happened. What will probably go down as the worst call in Super Bowl history (or as the Best Defensive Play in Super Bowl history) happened. Interception. Game over. Patriots win.
While karma owed Brady a win, as a Packer fan I’d also like to think that karma was paying us back a little bit too by giving the Seahawks one of the most painful Super Bowl losses ever. Karma owes us big time when it comes to the Seattle Seahawks. First there was the Fail Mary. Then there was this years NFC Championship game. Seahawks fans call is a miracle comeback. I call it a choke job. The Packers had the game in the hands and they let it slip away. Which is exactly what happened to the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. They had 1-yard to go. 1-yard to win it all. And with one bad play they let it all slip away. Packer fans know how that feels, and are happy to know that Seahawks fans now do too.
Thank you Karma.
Love,
The Green Bay Packer Fans
